Watch Coldplay’s new manga-inspired animated video for ‘People Of The Pride’
Coldplay have shared their manga-inspired new video for ‘People Of The Pride’ – you can watch it below.Directed by Paul Dugdale, the clip mixes live footage from the band’s October 2021 performance at Seattle’s Climate Pledge Arena with robot-heavy, dystopian animation. The track follows previous singles ‘Let Somebody Go‘, ‘Higher Power‘, ‘My Universe‘ and ‘Coloratura’.The song is taken from Coldplay’s recent album ‘Music Of The Spheres’, which arrived last October. The band recently shared an expansive cover of Kid Cudi‘s 2008 hit ‘Day ‘n’ Nite as part of a new Spotify Singles release, which also features a new version of ‘Let Somebody Go’, their recent collaboration with Selena Gomez.“This is the first time I think that we’ve really taken proper time to record a cover, because in my head I could hear a version of it quite different from the original, that hopefully just reinforces what a brilliant song it is,” Martin said of the cover. “One way or another I hope that anyone listening will just think, ‘Wow, Kid Cudi is amazing.’”Coldplay are set to embark on an eco-friendly world tour later this week on the back of their new album, with dates scheduled at London’s Wembley Stadium, Glasgow, Paris, Berlin and other European cities throughout July and August.

Russia stripped of Champions League final after Vladimir Putin's Ukraine invasion
Champions League final will no longer take place in Russia in light of Vladimir Putin's invasion of Ukraine.UEFA made the decision to strip the nation of the match following an emergency executive committee meeting on Friday. The showpiece event was set to take place in the Gazprom Arena in St Petersburg on May 28, but will now be moved elsewhere, with both Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United offering to assume hosting duties. The showpiece will now take place in the French capital of Paris with the Stade de France playing host.UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin called the meeting in order to "evaluate the situation and take all necessary decisions" and board members eventually decided that the final simply couldn't be staged in a country which had invaded another European nation. It comes after British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Foreign Secretary Liz Truss urged UEFA to change the venue in response to Russia's aggression."A Russia that has pariah status - [there is] no chance of holding football tournaments in a Russia that invades sovereign countries," the PM said on Wednesday, while Truss urged Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool to boycott playing matches in Russia altogether."I would boycott it.

UEFA calls extraordinary meeting over Russia as new Champions League venues considered
Champions League final. The match is due to be played at the Gazprom Arena in St Petersburg on May 28, but that is looking increasingly unlikely after Russian president Vladimir Putin launched a full-scale invasion of their neighbouring country.European football's governing body has been urged to move it elsewhere and they now look set to do so.Their executive committee will meet to discuss the issue on Friday and it is reported they will confirm Russia will be stripped of the final.A UEFA statement read: "Following the evolution of the situation between Russia and Ukraine in the last 24 hours, the UEFA President has decided to call an extraordinary meeting of the Executive Committee for Friday 25 February at 10:00 CET, in order to evaluate the situation and take all necessary decisions."Further communication will be made after the meeting of the UEFA Executive Committee."They are also set to determine the venues for the upcoming World Cup play-offs between Russia and Sweden and Scotland and Ukraine.Where would you like to see the final held? Let us know in the comments section. It was earlier revealed that West Ham and Tottenham have both put themselves forward to be the new hosts of the Champions League climax. The London Stadium and Tottenham Hotspur Stadium would each offer UEFA 60k-plus capacity venues. They also suit UEFA's other main criteria which are being in a major European city with good transport links, infrastructure and accommodation. However, Wembley, which is due to host the 2024 final, looks less likely as an alternative with EFL play-offs scheduled for the same weekend in May.While the decision to move it looks likely to be made before the weekend, it may be some time before the new hosts are decided

West Ham and Tottenham considered for Champions League final as Russia invades Ukraine
West Ham and Tottenham are being considered as hosts for the Champions League final after Russia invaded Ukraine. It is looking increasingly likely that UEFA will move the game from the Gazprom Arena in St Petersburg due to the actions of Vladimir Putin. After mounting concerns in recent weeks, the Russian president has now launched a full-scale invasion of their neighbouring country, with a 'special military operation' underway. While UEFA are yet to make a decision on their showpiece event, there are several candidates waiting in the wings to take it on.And the London Stadium and Tottenham Hotspur Stadium are two of the options. The Premier League clubs have put themselves forward and can each offer UEFA a 60k-plus capacity venue. They also suit UEFA's other main criteria which are being in a major European city with good transport links, infrastructure and accommodation. However, Wembley, which is due to host the 2024 final, looks less likely as an alternative with EFL play-offs scheduled for the same weekend in May.Where would you like to see the final held? Let us know in the comments section. The Hammers and Spurs are set for a long wait to find out if they will be chosen, because UEFA aren't expected to make a decision until the month of the final. It does look virtually impossible that the climax of this year's Champions League will remain in Russia, though.Prime Minister Boris Johnson called for the change of venue earlier this week, prior to Putin's attack on Ukraine. He said: "A Russia that has pariah status - [there is] no chance of holding football tournaments in a Russia that invades sovereign countries."His comments were then backed up by UK Foreign Secretary Liz Truss, who urged the remaining English teams in the
