Liverpool captain will miss up to eight games for the Reds, while he is out of England's World Cup qualifiers next month, too.
Henderson suffered the injury during Jurgen Klopp's defeat by Everton last weekend.The midfielder saw a specialist in London early in the week who recommended an operation.The prognosis is that he will be out for between six to eight weeks.Klopp admitted it was a “massive blow” when Henderson pulled up against the Toffees.There was a concern it is a serious issue and he is expected to miss league games against Sheffield United, Chelsea, Fulham, Wolves, Arsenal, Aston Villa and Leeds.He will also miss out the second leg of their Champions League last-16 tie against RB Leipzig and the quarter-finals if they get.
