Liverpool will not ask the FA to award them three points - despite FA rules stating they should be given the win - following their postponed clash with Manchester United over the weekend.
The FA rulebook states: “Matches being abandoned by its members, or supporters, the board has the power to order that the match is not replayed and to award either one or three points to the Club not at fault.”However, the Mirror say Liverpool has no intention to ask for the points; instead, they want to work with Untied to reschedule the game.
The decision, though, has split the fanbase. Some Liverpool fans want the Red's to appeal for the points - to support their Champions League push - while others would argue they should replay the game.
