Liverpool legend Ian Rush has had his say on outlandish suggestions Cristiano Ronaldo could take over as Manchester United manager.

Current Red Devils boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is under immense pressure because of poor results since September. United have lost games to arch-rivals Liverpool and Manchester City by an aggregate score of 7-0 while Solskjaer's blushes have been spared twice in the Champions League by Ronaldo, who returned to Old Trafford in the summer a dozen years on from his departure for Real Madrid.

Solskjaer is clinging on for now with the Norwegian set to take charge of the game against Watford at the weekend, but Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers continues to be heavily linked with a move to Manchester.
