Steven George Gerrard MBE (born 30 May 1980) is an English professional football manager and former player who manages Scottish Premiership club Rangers.
He spent the majority of his playing career as a central midfielder for Liverpool, with most of that time spent as club captain, as well as captaining the England national team. Widely regarded as one of the greatest midfielders of all time,
Gerrard was awarded the UEFA Club Footballer of the Year award in 2005, and the Ballon d'Or Bronze Award. In 2009, Zinedine Zidane and Pelé said that they considered Gerrard to be the best footballer in the world.
Klopp is the number one choice in his homeland to succeed Joachim Low, having led the Reds to Premier League, Champions League and Club World Cup glory in the past two seasons.And there are growing fears the 53-year-old could leave Anfield earlier than expected to take charge of his national team.The manager is contracted to Liverpool until 2024, but German football chiefs could look to replace Low with Klopp before that if Germany under-perform in the Euro 2020 finals.Low has been Germany boss since 2006, and led them to World Cup glory in 2014.But the reigning champions crashed out at the group stage in the 2018 tournament - failing to progress beyond the opening round for the first time in 80 years.Low's current contract takes him.
