Acclaimed American actress Lisa Banes has died aged 65, her injuries from a hit-and-run tragically proving fatal. The screen star, known for her roles in box office hits Gone Girl and Cocktail, was hospitalised on July 4 after getting struck by a motorised scooter.
Confirming her death, her friends told The New York Post that Banes died on Monday. In a poignant statement, her representative told Entertainment Tonight: "We are heartsick over Lisa’s tragic and senseless passing."She was a woman of great spirit, kindness and generosity and dedicated to her work, whether on stage or in front of a camera and even more so to her wife, family and friends."We were blessed to have had her in our lives."According to Metro.co.uk, no arrests have been.
