Lifeboat crews race to scene as 'number of people' struggle in water off Scots coast

Scots beach. RNLI and Coastguard vessels raced to Lunan Bay, in Angus, amid reports of people struggling off the coast. Two RNLI lifeboats and Coastguard teams in Arbroath and Dundee were called to the scene and the people were all successfully saved.

The rescue comes after a horrific weekend on Scotland's waterways after six people lost their lives in incidents across the country.There has been heartbreak over the tragedies which included the deaths of four youngsters.A Coastguard spokesman told the Daily Record: "At 3.45pm today, two RNLI lifeboats from Montrose in addition to Arbroath and Dundee Coastguard Rescue Teams, and a fast rescue craft from a nearby vessel, attended Lunan Bay after a report of a number of people in the water."All.
