Liam James Payne (born 29 August 1993) is an English singer and songwriter.
He rose to fame as a member of the boy band One Direction.
Payne made his debut as a singer when he auditioned for the British television series The X Factor in 2008. After being eliminated as a solo performer, he auditioned again in 2010 and was put into a group with four other contestants to form One Direction

In the early hours of Sunday morning, the former One Direction star headed to his Instagram stories to muse on the state of his relationship.
Singer Liam, 27, who revealed he had split from Maya, 21, last month, shared a series of posts and tagged his ex, telling her he "loved" her.
Writing in white text on a plain white background, the star mused about the importance of keeping loved ones "close" after making "mistakes". "Don't let someone go if you really want to love them even if you have to learn to love them through your own mistakes," Liam wrote. "Let your instinct tell you that you need them and keep.
