Fans have been left devastated following the shock death of former One Direction star Liam Payne. The 31-year-old had been holidaying in Argentina, where he shared social media updates to fans with his girlfriend, Kate Cassidy.

But on Wednesday evening, Liam fell from the third floor of hotel Casa Sur Palmero, in the Argentinian capital Buenos Aires.

He was said to have been acting erratically in the moments prior to his death, the Mirror reports. Dad-of-one Liam had to be escorted back to his hotel room before tragedy struck.

Workers at the hotel had called police to reports of an 'aggressive man who may have been under the effects of drugs and alcohol'.
