Leaked Tory plans to slash aid would see Britain "turn its back on some of the most vulnerable people in the world", the government has been warned.
Leaked documents revealed by investigative news site openDemocracy have hinted at the scale of Overseas Development Assistance cuts being discussed within the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office.
According to the leaked emails support to the Western Balkans, which includes both Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kosovo, is slated to be cut by half.
Aid to Somalia and the Democratic Republic of Congo could be slashed by 60%. Also among the cuts are nations that have seen recent or ongoing violence - with cuts in aid to Syria by 67%, Libya by 63%, Nigeria by 58% and South Sudan by 59%.
