League Two may still be forced to mothball. The clubs were locked in discussions with SPFL chief executive Neil Doncaster on Wednesday attempting to thrash out another new plan to save the season.A number of clubs from both divisions have drafted a proposal for a 22 game format which would include the introduction of a 6-4 split for the final round of fixtures. But it’s understood that plan could create further chaos if any potential coronavirus outbreaks cause matches to be postponed before the make-up of the split can be confirmed. It’s understood the simplified 18 game option is now the most likely result.
