An inquest into her death resumed at the Shepway Centre in Maidstone, Kent, on Monday, with Ms Kemal’s mum, Nevres, seated at the front with her daughter’s godparents.Around 2.34am the pair were travelling along the A21 near Tonbridge in Kent when Ms Kemal’s car caught fire, forcing her and her friend to leave the vehicle and seek safety.The pair tried to flag down passing cars, but traffic began to build up on the other side behind the burning car.As Ms Kemal sought to make her way back across the road, she is believed to have fallen down a gap in the central reservation and suffered “catastrophic” injuries.Nevres spoke at the hearing about what happened to her daughter and questioned witnesses.
