All boroughs except Bolton saw a rise of over 50 percent. All ten boroughs currently have an infection rate more than double the national average with the average Greater Manchester rate four times the national average.
Seven boroughs have rates in the top 20 highest rates in the country. Bolton, where surge testing and emergency vaccinations continue, still has the highest coronavirus infection rate in Greater Manchester, and the fourth highest in the country.
