Las Vegas Dolphin Habitat ‘Temporarily Closing’ After Third Death In SIX MONTHS

Two was shocking — but a third on Saturday is now prompting officials to take more drastic measures to figure out what’s going on.
In a memo issued to employees of the Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat — and shared with People on Tuesday — Interim President Franz Kallao explained: Kallao revealed 11-year-old bottlenose dolphin K2, who had been battling and receiving treatment for a respiratory ailment, tragically lost his life Saturday.
He explained: Several staff members had “watched him grow” from the time K2 was born up until his untimely passing, Kallao later noted.
