A Larkhall youth was carrying a knife when he confronted social workers about a court order.Grant Gibb picked up a card-reading machine and told a member of staff: “If you were a guy I would hit you with that.”Gibb, 19 was given a 13-month custodial sentence at Hamilton Sheriff Court.He admitted threatening or abusive behaviour in the social work office in Brandon Gate, Hamilton, on January 14.Gibb also admitted similar conduct when police went to arrest him at his home in West Clyde Street later the same day.Louise Beattie, prosecuting, said Gibb turned up at the social work office with his brother.
