Premier League debut for Stoke hanging on his wall at home. Nothing unusual there considering what a momentous occasion it is for a teenager to strut out for their boyhood club against Manchester City.
But this one is a bit more poignant than that.Chorley ace Shenton, now 23, made his debut for the Potters in February 2015 aged 17 when he replaced Steven N'Zonzi late on in the game against City.The dream moment came at an emotional and difficult time as just two days earlier Shenton had attended him mum Mandy's funeral after she died from cancer aged 47.
Another late sub that night was Frank Lampard, the Chelsea great who was then on a loan at City from their sister club in New York.
