Labour will force a Commons vote to protect millions of leaseholders from the cost of replacing dangerous cladding on their homes.
Keir Starmer said the situation was "completely unacceptable" for homeowners, leaving residents trapped in dangerous properties that they cannot sell.
Nearly four years on from the Grenfell Tower fire, millions of homes - up to 16% of housing stock - could be affected by the issue, the party said.
Labour will force an Opposition Day vote on the issue on Monday, urging ministers to pull together figures on the extend of the problem, to provide upfront funding for removals and protect leaseholders from high costs.
