Six more Labour frontbenchers have quit in protest at Keir Starmer's decision not to oppose a controversial bill allowing undercover agents to commit crimes.
The legislation - dubbed the 'Spycops' Bill - would protect spies from being prosecuted should they break the law while working undercover.
Earlier on Thursday, Dan Carden vowed to defy party orders and vote against the bill as a "matter of conscience". Now, Rachel Hopkins, Sarah Owen, Mary Foy, Kim Johnson, Margaret Greenwood and Navendu Mishra have all followed his lead in falling on their sword.
