Labour MP Dawn Butler has been asked to leave the House of Commons for the remainder of the day after refusing to withdraw claims about Boris Johnson.
The Member of Parliament for Brent Central said the Prime Minister has "lied to the House and the country over and over again".
Ms Butler was ordered to withdraw from the chamber by temporary deputy speaker Judith Cummins following her remarks in a debate this afternoon.
Members were discussing the prospect of a public inquiry into the government's handling of the pandemic. It is considered not within the boundaries of parliamentary etiquette to call another member a liar.
