Kylie Minogue and Ed Sheeran lead tributes to Michael Gudinski as music icon dies at 68

Michael Gudinski has died at the age of 68. The Australian music promoter and founder of the Mushroom Group label was confirmed overnight to have died peacefully in his sleep at his Melbourne home.

He founded Mushroom at the age of just 20 in 1972, the company growing to become Australia's largest independent entertainment group.

Michael was also instrumental in getting some of the biggest global names in music to perform Down Under. Ed Sheeran has since shared a tribute, sharing an image of the two of them on a beach and writing: "I'll miss you mate." Aussie singer Kylie Minogue has also remembered the man, posting a selfie of the two of them and penning: "MICHAEL GUDINSKI – Legend.
