That is according to The Athletic who claim Real Madrid have become increasingly resigned to losing Varane, who has just one year left on his contract at the Bernabeu, with the player's representatives having revealed their client's desire for a new challenge.
Varane, 28, has enjoyed a trophy-laden 10-year career with Madrid, but it's believed that club president Florentino Perez has told new head coach Carlo Ancelotti that the centre-back will be sold if they receive a suitable offer.
