Katy Perry ‘hopes her newborn is a girl’ as she performs at Women’s Cricket World Cup final

Katy Perry has pretty much told the whole world that she wants her newborn baby to be a girl. The singer, who confirmed her pregnancy earlier this week, made a spectacular appearance for a concert at the Women’s Cricket World Cup final in Melbourne, Australia, taking to the stage to perform her hits.

Going through an array of multiple colourful costume changes, Katy made a statement wearing a silk pink dress emblazoned with Venus symbols, before changing into a purple dress which also featured the same symbols.

During the concert, she was halfway through singing her single Wide Awake when she paused for a moment, telling the audience: ‘I hope it’s a girl!’ As she said this, applause erupted from the crowd, before Katy carried on with her
