Kate Garraway says 'hero' kids are making Derek Draper smile in a 'reassuring way'

Derek, 53, has only recently returned home after over a year in hospital fighting Covid-19. And presenter Kate, also 53, has told how the pair's children - Darcey, 15, and 11-year-old William - are "coping extraordinarily" with his return.
She has explained how the youngsters are frequently spending time talking to and hugging their father. Speaking with Iain Dale on LBC, the Good Morning Britain presenter revealed that the kids have even been able to make him smile in a "reassuring way" as he is smiling at things he would have found amusing before he was placed in a coma last year.
