Kate Garraway's husband Derek Draper has finally returned home after being hospitalised for a year with coronavirus. The 53-year-old has battled the virus since March last year but has now returned to his home in North London.
Kate and the pair's two children, 11-year-old Billy and 15-year-old Darcey, are "thrilled" their dad has been given the go-ahead to come home.
However, they have been warned that he faces a "long and gruelling" fight to full health. Doctors had also previously warned the family that he might never fully recover from the damage done to his body.
