Good Morning Britain presenter Kate Garraway was missing from the Friday edition of the ITV breakfast news programme. Kate, who usually presents the show alongside her close friend Ben Shephard, was nowhere to be seen as the show came on air at 6am.Instead, she was replaced by Charlotte Hawkins, who hosted alongside Ben in his usual slot as they shared the biggest news stories of the day.Kate was also missing from GMB the previous day, as she normally sits in Charlotte's bulletin role for a Thursday.However, she was replaced by Richard Gaisford, while Susanna was replaced by Ranvir Singh, who recently stepped down from her political reporter role.Ranvir recently reacted as her replacement for the coveted role was announced following her big decision, after she found success in a hard-hitting Jeffrey Epstein documentary on ITV.

Louisa James has been confirmed as GMB's new political reporter, in news confirmed by Anne Alexander, who is senior political producer on the show.

Anne tweeted: "Delighted that @LouisaJamesITV is joining Good Morning Britain’s politics team as Political Correspondent, taking over from @ranvir01."She’s experienced, hard working and obsessed with politics.

Think she’ll do well with me and @kieronishere. Welcome to the (mad) House Louisa."Ranvir reacted to the big news, replying: "Super happy about this."Susanna also chipped in, adding her congratulations to her new colleague, as Ranvir prepared to move on to a different role after reportedly growing tired of the early starts.
