Having scored 18 goals and made nine assists last season, the 21-year-old has only recorded five goals and six assists in 22 games.
With just one strike and three key passes coming in the Premier League, it has seen Havertz face heavy criticism for his performances.
And Bosz, who worked with the midfielder for two seasons at Leverkusen, believes a tactical error involving another new arrival is the main problem.
