Juventus have reportedly made Arsenal star Gabriel their top transfer priority and could offer Arthur Melo as part of a swap deal.The Old Lady are in the market for a new centre-back with legendary defender Giorgio Chiellini toying with the idea of leaving the club.
According to Gianluca di Marzio, they have identified Gabriel, 24, as the ideal replacement for the veteran.The Brazilian has been one of the first names on the team sheet for Mikel Arteta this season.
He has been a rock at the back and notched his fourth Premier League goal of the campaign in the 2-1 win against West Ham on Sunday (May 1).Gabriel is tied down for another three years at the Emirates, so it would take a mega fee to convince the Gunners to sell up.
But Juve are hoping they can sweeten a potential deal by throwing in fellow Brazilian Arthur in exchange.Arsenal were in talks with the Serie A club over a loan move for the 25-year-old midfielder in the January transfer window.
