Julian Nagelsmann reckons Timo Werner will come good for Chelsea and they just need to be patient with his former player. The German forward has suffered a disappointing debut season in the Premier League following his switch from RB Leipzig.
His return of 12 goals in 50 appearances is well below his usual strike rate after he scored 34 goals in 46 games in the Bundesliga last term under Nagelsmann.
But the German boss, who will take charge of Bayern Munich in the summer, reckons Werner is just going through one of those difficult periods and Tuchel will be able to get the best out of him if he's given time.
Nagelsmann says Werner is a notoriously streaky player in front of goal and when it clicks for him, the floodgates will open.
