Loose Women as she recalled a time in her life when she was so broke she needed to borrow some money for Christmas. The 41-year-old, who is a single mum, was so hard up she needed “a few hundred quid” to see her through so she turned to a short term loan company.
However, a representative from the company who visited her at home to “see her papers” predicted she would be turned down. That same woman then offered to take out the loan in her name.
As Judi recounted the story, the memory made her choke up. Comedian Judi, who has two children, said: "This woman was going through my papers and I could see her looking at me and she said I dont think you could square up for us...and this is the place you go to when you haven’t got anything.
