Sheehan has put pen to paper on a two-year deal and is one of several reinforcements recruited by Ian Evatt ahead of the upcoming League One campaign for Bolton.
The 26-year-old has been joined at the University of Bolton Stadium alongside fellow new signings Will Aimson, George Johnston, Joel Dixon, Amadou Bakayoko and Xavier Amaechi.
