Transfer talk surrounding Manchester United has been heavily focused on the centre forward position and names such as Harry Kane and Erling Haaland have dominated the conversation.
The latter is considered United’s number one and most attainable target given that Tottenham are expected to fight tooth and nail to keep their captain at the club, however, acquiring Haaland’s signature could be just as tough given the spotlight on the exciting 20-year-old.
It’s only natural therefore that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, John Murtough and the rest of United’s recruitment team will be working together to draft up alternatives to the above names in case a deal for either cannot be struck.
