The image was previously removed due to allegations that were made of the actor in 2016, where he was labelled a ‘wife beater’.The image was initially projected during a Pirates Of The Caribbean display feature in the theme park, which featured fireworks and pyrotechnics, and dialogue from Johnny's character, Captain Jack Sparrow.But an opinion piece from Amber, published in The Washington Post, which argued that Johnny was abusive towards her, led to Disney cutting ties with with the actor.Johnny spoke about the effects of the article and subsequent allegations, claiming he lost his multi-million pound film career as a result of them.He said that it directly caused him to lose his role of Sparrow in the Pirates Of The Caribbean franchise, which was his reason for suing the actress.Following the allegations, it was confirmed by Disney production chief Sean Bailey that Johnny was no longer a part of the franchise’s future plans.He told The Hollywood Reporter: ‘We want to bring in a new energy and vitality.
I love the [Pirates] movies, but part of the reason (writers) Paul (Wernick) and Rhett (Reese) are so interesting is that we want to give it a kick in the pants.
