Forbes estimates his net worth to be $3.1 billion.

Joseph Robinette Biden Jr. (born November 20, 1942) is an American politician who served as the 47th vice president of the United States from 2009 to 2017 and represented Delaware in the U.S. Senate from 1973 to 2009. A member of the Democratic Party, Biden is the presumptive Democratic nominee for president in the 2020 election. He unsuccessfully sought the Democratic presidential nomination in 1988 and in 2008.

Joe Biden's inauguration facing 'very serious' threat of armed violence

There is a “very serious” risk of violence at Joe Biden’s inauguration, Donald Trump ’s former FBI director has warned. James Comey, who was fired by President Trump in 2017, said he was “mystified” by the failure to police the storming of the Capitol and called on the perpetrators to be dealt with “swiftly and severely”.

Ahead of President-elect Biden’s inauguration on Wednesday, he told Sky News’ Sophy Ridge on Sunday: “I’m worried because there are armed, disturbed people who are in this state of mind where they believe their country is being taken from them. "And so it’s a threat law enforcement in the States has to take very seriously.” He also said Boris Johnson was viewed as “a little less crazy, a little less mean Donald Trump”.
