Jet2, TUI, easyJet and British Airways have been forced to cancel holidays to France due to a new travel ban sparked by the Omicron variant.
Under the new travel restrictions, UK tourists won't be able to enter France for non-essential reasons. From midnight on Saturday, travellers must have an 'essential reason' to travel into the country from the UK - but this does not include holidays or business.
The new restrictions are a huge blow to holidaymakers hoping to jet away on a skiing holiday, with French ski resorts extremely popular over winter.
Travellers going to France will need to take a pre-departure PCR tests 24 hours before flying instead of the previous 48 hours and will also need to register the address of their stay.
