That's according to former Premier League striker and pundit Dean Windass, who admits he doesn't actually see a permanent move for Lingard to the London Stadium happening.
Lingard was forced into the backdrop by Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer last season, failing to make a Premier League appearance in the first half of the campaign.
However, after heading out on loan to the Hammers in January, the England man kickstarted his career and was a stand-out performer across the division from that point.
