Jeremy Kyle will be called to give evidence at the inquest into the death of show guest Steve Dymond. Construction worker Mr Dymond, 63, was found dead at his home in Portsmouth last year, a week after filming his appearance on The Jeremy Kyle show.

At a previous pre-inquest hearing, it was revealed he died from a morphine overdose. The inquest opened today in Winchester and Coroner Jason Pegg ruled the presenter's actions may have "caused or contributed" to Mr Dymond's passing.

He went on to confirm Kyle will be called to give evidence to the inquest as a witness. The coroner said Mr Dymond "did report to others that he was caused distress by his treatment by the show" and it "played out" into the following week leading up to his death."
