A-Lister Jamie Lee Curtis has secured the screen rights to one of the most popular crime book series of all time, Patricia Cornwell’s Kay Scarpetta mysteries.
The author has sold over 120 million copies of her books worldwide and is set to release the 25th in the series later this year.
For the uninitiated, they follow a medical examiner typically based in Virginia who inevitably finds herself embroiled in the murders she’s investigating and her turbulent personal life.
Variety notes that Curtis’ production company Commet Pictures has joined forces with Blumhouse TV on the project but as of yet few details have emerged.
