James Graham’s expected return to St Helens from Australia will only be until the end of the 2020 season. Graham’s current club St George Illawarra have confirmed that he has agreed a release from his contract at the Dragons to join a Super League club.

That is his boyhood team Saints - but the deal has not yet been formally completed and does depend on St George Illawarra securing a suitable replacement.

Graham will effectively take the place of fellow front rower Luke Thompson at the Totally Wicked Stadium, after he this week jetted Down Under to start his new career at Canterbury Bulldogs.

But Mirror Sport understands the move would only be for the remainder of the 2020 campaign, which is due to restart in August.
