US talk show host James Corden has reportedly been asked by the Jersey Government to return a prehistoric monument that sits in his back garden. The main feature of the British actor’s Berkshire garden is the ancient stone circle that has remained on the land since they were first moved from Jersey in 1788.

Despite sitting on the property for hundreds of years, the authorities have reportedly been in touch to ask that they be returned to Jersey's capital St Helier, where they were originally found.

It is believed the collection of stones, known as a Neolithic dolmen, were freely given to Field Marshal Henry Seymour Conway more than 300 years ago.
