Panfil at HBO with Issa Rae attached as an executive producer.In the half-hour series, a closeted twenty-something in Chicago, grieving a gang-related death, ditches college to find reckless closure.Young-White will write and executive produce the project.
Rae will executive produce under her Hoorae banner along with Montrel McKay. Hoorae’s Sara Rastogi will co-executive produce.
Jonathan Berry, Olivia Gerke, and Dave Becky of 3 Arts will also executive produce. Variety exclusively reported in March that Rae and Hoorae had signed a sizable new overall deal with WarnerMedia.
