Athletes from all around the world descend upon Greater Manchester every year for the gruelling race, which consists of a 2.4-mile swim in Pennington Flash, a 112-mile bike ride and a marathon which finishes in Bolton town centre.
Last year's event was cancelled due to the pandemic and this year's race will take place on July 4 - two weeks prior to the proposed lifting of restrictions.
