Well, if consumer watchdog wins their £750m court battle today that could well be the case.Tech giant Apple could bit hit with a massive bill that will see a pay out for iPhone users if the watchdog wins.The court battle is set to take place today after claims by Justin Gutmann that Apple Apple deliberately slowed down the performance of its iPhone handsets by hiding a power management tool in software updates.

Justin believes they did this to to combat performance issues and stop older devices from shutting down suddenly.Their claim was launched with the with the Competition Appeal Tribunal, and they are seeking damages of £768million for up to 25 million UK owners, for a range of older iPhone models.

Justin Gutmann claims Apple introduced the tool to disguise that iPhone batters were unable to cope with new iOS processing demands.The claim relates to the iPhone 6, 6 Plus, 6S, 6S Plus, SE, 7, 7 Plus, 8, 8 Plus and iPhone X models.
