A rundown inner-city home snapped up for a bargain £9,500 could sell for £732,000 after going on sale for the first time since 1979.
The run-down 570sqm house in one of Queensland's most popular suburbs was first bought more than four decades ago. Now, auctioneers could be quids in as the property is said to be worth more than $1.3 million Australian dollars, or about £732,000.
Staggeringly, when it was last sold in 1979 it had a price tag of just £9,500 ($17,000). Bruce Wilson, at realestate.com, said of the house: "Properties like this don't come along every day. "This quaint, circa 1920's cottage is in need of a full renovation and sits on a 570 sqm block which has two street access." The house, which is said to be 'typical of its era'
