“Most Haunted” and later the same year a devastating fire broke out, causing more damage to the ageing structure.Plans have emerged to take down the whole building and replace it with up to 300 new homes by Denbighshire County Council.According to Denbigh Free Press, the plans have the potential to boost the local economy by £75 million and also create 1,200 jobs.There was also a plan to build an Asylum themed hotel on the site by Signature Living Hotel Ltd but the company collapsed in June last year under £113m worth of debt. .
