ED Sheeran has revealed his unlikely friendship with the late Shane Warne, and the eerie phone call they shared days before his death.
The Aussie cricket legend, 52, died yesterday from a suspected heart attack whilst on holiday in Thailand. Ed, who was a close friend of Shane, led tributes to the Spin King.
He also told fans of a phone call they had shared together, earlier this week. The singer said he and Shane had called each other on the anniversary of the passing of Australian music promoter Michael Gudinski, who died on March 1, 2021. "The world keeps taking incredible people away," Ed wrote in an Instagram post alongside a photo of Warne with Gudinski. "I spoke to Shane on the anniversary of Michael's passing this week saying we were both raising a glass of 707 in his honour, and now this news comes out. "Shane was the kindest heart, and always went above and beyond to make people feel welcome and special.
