Elvis Presley travelled in style with his own private jets including one which has been on sale for years. The singer and actor’s “Lisa Marie” and “Hound Dog II” are currently on display in the Graceland Museum in Memphis, Tennessee, with his third plane JetStar up for sale.

The 1962 Lockheed JetStar L-1329, which he shared with his father, was the last aircraft he purchased in 1976 - just one year before his death.READ MORE: Lisa Marie Presley says she 'stays alive' for her three daughters after son's suicideThe aircraft is the only one of Elvis' to be privately owned and is currently in the hands of a fan, who is in his 80s.GWS Auctions, the company facilitating the sale, says that the current owner hopes to sell it and see the aeroplane be restored.

The plane is looking a little worse for wear, with layers of rust, after sitting in a desert in New Mexico for many years and it has been stripped of its engines, and the cockpit has most components missing, so it can’t be flown. But it makes a stunning display piece as it can comfortably seat eight passengers and features red velvet interiors with wood panelling and a shag carpet in the main cab.The last sale of the jet came in at $430,000 USD (£385,650), just short of its expected million-dollar estimate, back in 2017.
