Iceland ordered to pay £11k damages to Scots OAP who broke wrist and knee after falling over ramp

Iceland have been ordered to pay a Scots pensioner £11,250 in damages after she tripped over a ramp outside their store in Edinburgh.

Yvonne Forrest suffered fractures to her right wrist and left knee after falling as she walked into the Portobello Road store in February 2019.

The 73-year-old initially declined an offer for an ambulance to be called before later being taken to hospital where she underwent surgery on her injuries.

She has since recovered by now suffers from post traumatic arthritis which results in stiffness and pain, a personal injury court was told.
