An Iceland branch in Wythenshawe has announced a special shopping window of two hours dedicated to the elderly and disabled.

The branch at the civic centre will open early on Wednesday, with a special slot between 9am and 11am for those over the age of 65 and who have a disability.

It comes after supermarkets across the country saw unprecedented queues, as people continued to panic buy - despite government advice.

A paper sign taped to the shops' window said it would open between 10am and 6pm on Tuesday 17 March. On Wednesday 18, the shop will be open between 9am and 11am for those in older age brackets only.
