Iceland has launched a sale that will certainly go down a treat with Brits struggling with the cost of living - as the supermarket has cut the price of some products to as low as 1p.With the nation keeping track more than usual of where their money goes to, saving where possible is a real help to those trying to budget.So the supermarket will be putting smiles on faces and creating less of a dent in people’s bank accounts as they have reduced the price of 420 items - but for online customers only.Iceland have cut the prices of a selection of everyday essential items for online shoppers like milk, bread and butter for just pennies.

For example, if you put three lots of butter in your basket the cost will come down to 3p, so 1p each.And, the savings do not stop there.Burger buns, fizzy drinks, ice cream cones and a choice of fresh, frozen and grocery products are also up for grabs at a fraction of the price.So, how does it work?Well, the deal allows shoppers to save up to 99p per product, based on an item priced at £1 originally.To get your savings, you will need to include three products in the deal in your online order.Simply, when at the checkout stage of your shop you need to enter the promotional code “ICEPENNY” before paying for your shop.But you better be quick though as the deal is running from June 18 until June 24 midnight.Richard Walker, Managing Director at Iceland, said: “We’re continuing to work hard to ensure our customers are being supported as much as possible as the cost of living continues to rise and we hope our 3p everyday essentials sale will help a little this weekend.“Our previous sales at Christmas and Easter were very popular and this time we’ve taken the decision to branch out and offer this deal.
