KERRY Katona has revealed she once had to sell her parrot in order to pay for sanitary products. The 41-year-old recalled not having enough money to buy even the basics when she was 17 and having to resort to the drastic measure.
Discussing her tough childhood growing up in Warrington with mum Sue, she told The Times: “When I was 17 we sold my parrot, Alfie, for £20 so I could buy some Tampax. "I had this gig paying me £50 to dance in a nightclub and I got my period, so I needed sanitary towels, but we didn’t have the money. “That was the last we heard of Alfie!” The mum-of-five continued: “As a kid it was always tough.
